The Butterfly JH8190S is one of the best-known household sewing machines in Bangladesh, and a long-standing favourite among home sewers, students and tailors. It pairs 10 built-in stitch patterns with a light, compact 5.5kg body and simple dial controls, which is a large part of why it remains so widely recommended for first machines.
Its 10 stitch patterns and 4-step buttonhole cover the core of household sewing — straight and zigzag seams, edge finishing, stretch stitches and closures. Adjustable thread tension and adjustable presser foot pressure let you match the machine to the fabric, reverse feed locks off seams, and a thread cutter and automatic bobbin winder keep setup short. Twin-needle sewing and free-motion embroidery using the supplied darning plate are both supported.
A 70W motor drives it at up to 750 stitches per minute on an integral aluminium framework with a shuttle hook. It measures roughly 355 × 160 × 265mm and weighs about 5.5kg, with a fold-away handle, a detachable accessory box that converts the flat bed into a free arm, and a built-in LED lamp over the needle.
